Meet Jerry and Richard, the Neighbourhood Pūkekos
Original Artwork + Prints · NZ Favourites Collection
Jerry’s on the left. Richard’s on the right.
Their missus thinks they’re out cheating. They’re actually inspecting the freshly mown lawn and discussing what’s for dinner.
A very serious meeting about grass.
Buy it for: that immediate little hit of joy and a reminder not to take life too seriously - the ridiculous personalities we assign to the birds that wander through our gardens like they own the place.
Place it: somewhere you live with it every day- above a console, in the kitchen or dining area, beside the breakfast table, or worked into a relaxed gallery wall. It’s the kind of piece that rewards being somewhere people can stop, notice it, and get the joke.
